Mark Boerboom started his career in Law Enforcement career over 20 years ago in Menasha, WI. During his time with the Menasha Police Department, he served as a patrol officer, Field Training Officer, Officer in Charge and a member of the SWAT team. After serving the community of Menasha for over seven years, Mark moved back to his home town of Blaine, MN where he joined the Blaine Police Department.
Mark is currently the Captain of the Administrative Services Division of the Blaine Police Department, a department of 71 officers located in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis. Prior to his current position, he served as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, School Resource Officer, Detective, Drug Task Force Detective, Patrol Sergeant and Investigative Sergeant. He currently oversees the Training Division, School Resource Officer Program, Evidence Division, Community Outreach, and Social Media and is currently the department designated PIO.
Mark and his team have led multiple projects that have merged current technology with the day to day police operations and training. Knowing that today’s Patrol Officers are being tasked with much more than they have in the past and the amount of required annual training continues to multiply, it has been his mission to help his officers navigate through this change and conduct their job in the most efficient, safe and effective way through available technology.
